Energy Day Denver
Energy Day is Colorado's free family festival showcasing exhibits focused on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Energy Day will feature exciting exhibits and interactive demonstrations that will teach students and their families about various forms of energy and how through STEM education, they can find an exciting career in the energy industry. Come down and support our local schools, energy experts, and the amazing kids out there looking to learn and develop their skills in STEM education!
Dinosaur Discovery Day
At Denver’s Dinosaur Ridge, Earth Science Week is celebrated with guides stationed at the track site and other fossil sites along the trail. Patrons experience sifting for microfossils, dinosaur track painting, dinosaur digs, rock and mineral identification, gold panning, and metal detecting.
Denver Gem & Mineral Showcase
The Society for Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration distributes Earth Science Week Toolkits.
Colorado Scientific Society
Events are hosted throughout the week, including lectures, geology hikes, field trips, and Earth Science Week Toolkit distribution.
National Fossil Day
Denver Museum of Nature and Science celebrates with a special free event hosting paleontologists and a “walking” dinosaur.
