What was your favorite science fiction show as a child growing up? When Jessica Esquivel saw shows with Particle Physicists from NASA fighting aliens on a show she knew she wanted to be a Particle Physicist. She earned her undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering and Applied Physics from St. Mary's College and her PhD in Physics from Syracuse University. Today Dr. Esquivel combines her love of astrophysics with work on the Muon g-2 project at the U.S. Department of Energy's Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, Fermilab, where she is a member of an interdisciplinary team of researchers.
Take your students on a journey into the world of a Particle Physicist. Engage them in exploring Jessica Esquivel's pathway as a Particle Physicist, and her work with muons.
