Entries will be judged on the basis of the quality of the approach taken to addressing four criteria:
- Exploration of an example of “Geoscience Innovation Worldwide” (how people are exploring new Earth science technologies and practices that can lead to healthier, more sustainable communities around the world.)
- Elements of Earth system science (geoscience)
- Creative approach to holding audience attention
- Quality of technical features
The winner (or winning team) will receive a prize of $300 USD, a copy of an AGI publication, and their submission will be used on the Earth Science Week Website. The winner's and finalists' names will be posted on the Earth Science Week Website. No cash substitution for prizes will be permitted and prizes are nontransferable.
AGI will make a reasonable effort to award prizes to international teams, subject to laws, restrictions, and practicalities of international postage and fund transfers.
