Message from State Geologist

John H. Talley

Delaware Governor Ruth Ann Minner, Lt. Governor John C. Carney, Jr., and the Delaware Geological Survey are proud to be involved with the celebration of National Earth Science Week. The Survey actively participates in bringing Earth Science information to school children at all grade levels through outreach talks and demonstrations in classrooms, and through tours of the Delaware Geological Survey Building. We encourage inerested students and citizens to visit with us at the Survey to learn about geology, hydrology, and natural hazards such as earthquakes, floods, droughts, sinkholes, and coastal erosion, and how earth sciences play an important role in our everday lives. Visit with us to participate in National Earth Science Week anytime during the year.
