Support Earth Science Week

Since its inception over 20 years ago, Earth Science Week remains the largest international education campaign dedicated exclusively to promoting awareness of the importance of the geosciences and stewardship of the planet. AGI organizes the program each year with support from major sponsors and partners in the federal government, the private sector, and the nonprofit community.

Become a Sponsor

A tax-deductible contribution to Earth Science Week will help promote understanding of earth science, and connect with the many geoscience educators, professionals, and young people who make up the target audience of Earth Science Week. See here for a list of all current sponsors.

Sponsorship Levels

All sponsoship levels are flexible and consider both the financial and in-kind support of organizations that contribute to Earth Science Week. We currently have three levels of sponsorship:

  • Active Sponsors with financial and/or in-kind contributions up to $20,000. Active Sponsors often fund the development of specific educational resources, related to the sponsor’s work, field, or initiatives that are in line with Earth Science Week.
  • Sustaining Sponsors that fit the description of Active Sponsor and provide support that helps to cover program costs with financial and/or in-kind contribtuions between $20,000 and $50,000.
  • Growth and Development Sponsors that fit the descriptions of both Active and Sustaining Sponsors in addition to helping expand the reach of Earth Science Week with financial and/or in-kind contributions of more than $50,000.

Become a Partner

Every Earth Science Week is celebrated with the release of a new Toolkit and Webinar Series – neither of which would be successful without participation and input from our Partners. See here for a list of all current partners.

  • Approximately 9,000 Toolkits are distrubuted annually and contain educational materials for teachers and informal educators to use with students, in addition to information on professional development opportunities for educators. AGI’s Partners produce many of these educational materials, from classroom activities, to resource pages, to posters and more – there are many ways the Toolkit can help get the word out about your educational initiatives.

  • With over 30,000 subscribers to our YouTube channel, being invovled in an Earth Science Week Webinar can help you reach a large audience of geoscience educators and professionals. Many of our Partners join this series to present on the work that they do in relation to the current Earth Science Week theme. The brief presentations and productive discussions that take palce during these webinars can help other geoscience professionals learn more about your work, and can also help educators understand how to bring your work into the classroom, further expanding your audience.
